I just wanted to share a few upcoming tours, projects, and new releases with you. 2024 went from zero to 120 right from the start touring with The Third Mind. It would be our first tour Stateside since our incarnation and after 2 albums, we look forward to sharing new music and touring as much as we can in 2025! What followed next would be 3 albums from 3 different groups releasing their albums in the same month. Starting with Better Than Ezra and our tour this past May celebrating the release of the new album, SUPER MAGICK! It was a great tour and we enjoyed rockin’ it all out for ya’ll across the country. Slash’s new album, ORGY FOR THE DAMNED would be the next release and rehearsals through the month of June commenced in preparation for the upcoming S.E.R.P.E.N.T Tour July 5 – August 17. We were all excited about the tour and sharing the stage with a whole host of greats. It was an absolute blast! I will rejoin my BTE brothers in September and again for our Legens of the Fall Tour from mid-November though mid-December but before that, I will will be rejoining my long time employer of 25 years, Richard Thompson and crew, in support of his newest release, SHIP TO SHORE. We honestly haven’t toured together since 2019 so I’m definitely looking forward to it; and I can’t wait to revisit all the friends and family I’ve gained through the years. My first Band, POP POPPINS, straight out of Saginaw Texas, has Pre-Sale Orders available for a new Best Of Compilation for your collection and enjoyment to be released next month by Carpe Diem Works. These were the best of times and sometimes not so fun times as I experienced all the growing pains a high school kid going into college might. But, making music with my bandmates was never a struggle. This was the band upon which I would build my career, learning how to write, collaborate, tour across the state of Texas, and beyond. Ultimately it would be the shows that would teach me the most. Communicating with the fans, the smiles, dancing and singing along to the songs, the exchange of energy and excitement, and gaining lifetime friends over the years; all palpable and second to none. In hindsight, I only have the greatest love and gratitude for this band and dear brothers, and all that it taught me. Pop Poppins for Life
